Mendocino High School sweeps it away in Zone of Focus Photography Show

Mendocino High School sweeps it away in Zone of Focus photography contest. Out of more than 400 entries this year only 40-50 were chosen to be in the Santa Rosa photography show. People placed as follows:

Although they did not receive any awards they are included in the photography show:
1. Erin Yelda - Landscape
2. Hannah Daniel - Landscape

People who placed in the show were:
1. Hannah Rittiman -
A. Honorable Mention - Landcape (she took this picture with a Diana Camera)
B. She also had an abstract picture included in the show.
2. Allison McMillan - 3rd Place - Social Landscape - $50 prize
3. Jisu Youn - 2nd Place - Still Life - $100 prize
4. Caitlin Green -
A. 2nd Place - Landscape - $100 prize
B. She also had a social landscape picture included in the show.

New Emerging Band

Although I cannot remember their name, their music is memorable. Over AE week Marshall Brown, Vincent Longo, Tim Johnson, and Bing York came together to create a symphony of sounds which later filled the room at senior project night in the community school. Although only recently formed, their music is lively and fresh, and served to finish the night leaving everyone in jubilant spirits. They are now selling a demo CD and will soon be selling a CD of finished pieces. Contact Marshall Brown if interested. Maybe a community school dance is in order? This band would be the perfect accompaniment.

Senior Project Night at the Community School

A diverse array of projects filled the room last wednesday for the community schools' senior project night. There was singing, guitar playing, two stellar photography displays, a handcrafted wooden bench, acting displays, technological feats and much more.

PROM!!!

The junior class pulled off the event wonderfully. The theme of Alice in Wonderland encompassed the event. Prom was held at the Mendocino Middle School Gym which was miraculously transformed to look like the house of cards.
