ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Mendocino High School Improv Club will perform their fully improvised
show ³My Fancy Cubicle presents BALLOONS!² on Wednesday and Thursday nights,
February 11, 12 at 7pm in the Matheson Performing Arts Center. Admission is
$5 & $3.
STUDENTS look for you lost items in the gray rolling bin, main hall. All
will be taken to thrift store after Friday, Feb. 13.

ADVANCE PLACEMENT EXAMS for interested and qualified students are given in
May. Doing well on these exams can save $ on college classes. Pick up a
Student & Parent Bulletin from your teacher or the office. See Barb in the
office to order your exam(s). Deadline is March 27. Fee reductions may be
available.

Scholarship: Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Amount: A range from $1000 - 12000
Criteria: Must be a child of a Marine, graduating this spring, family makes
under $80,000 and have a GPA of at least 2.0.

Scholarship: NCGA Foundation Paul Porter MemorialScholarship
Amount: $5000
Criteria: Must have a minimum of a 3.0 and plan on attending a 4 year
college or university. An interest in Golf is encouraged but not mandatory.

Scholarship: Kohl's Kids who Care Scholarship Program
Amount: from $50 gift certificates to a grand prize of 5000
Criteria: 2 age brackets can win. 6-12 and 13-18 year. Need to be nominated
to win. The young nominee's actions must be described in detail and should
document the efforts that are above and beyond what is normally expected of
a child their age. Volunteer efforts should have made a positive impact and
occurred in the last 12 months.

Scholarship: Cabrillo Civic Club
Amount: 100 scholarships of various amounts
Criteria: Must be of Portuguese descent, maintain a GPA of 3.5 and be
planning on enrolling at an accredited community college or University in
the US.

The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Program will provide you with
both academic and hands on training in many phases of hospitality industry,
including culinary arts, food service, restaurant operations, hotel
operations, and many more.
